If you live within the blue line on this map you are within the Karitāne School Transport Entitlement Zone and may be eligible for school transport assistance.

To be eligible for School Transport Assistance to Karitāne School, a student must meet all of the following criteria:

• The student’s home must be more than 3.2 kilometres from their nearest appropriate school (in this case Karitāne.)

• Suitable public transport is not available anywhere between the student’s home and their nearest appropriate school.

Students who live within the Karitāne Entitlement Zone are not entitled to travel on the East Otago High School Bus to schools other than Karitāne.

The Ministry of Education may be willing to adjust the existing EOHS bus run so that it travels to and from Karitāne School. We need four pupils enrolled to make this change. If you wish to enrol your child at our school to take advantage of this or for more information please contact us.
